Welcome to In Due Time Studio. These Terms & Policies are intended to provide clear expectations regarding our services, payment, project timelines, revisions, refunds, client responsibilities, privacy, and the use of AI-assisted tools.
By purchasing a service from In Due Time Studio, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to the terms outlined below.
In Due Time Studio provides professional writing, editing, and related creative services, including career documents, professional and recognition writing, biographies, legacy writing, and other services described in individual service listings.
The description of the service in effect at the time of purchase establishes the specific scope of that service, including its deliverables, expected turnaround time, included revisions, consultations or interviews, and other service-specific features.
Requests that materially exceed the purchased service's scope may require an additional fee. Any additional charge will be communicated to the client before the additional work is performed.
Unless otherwise stated in a service description or written agreement, payment is required before work begins.
Prices, packages, promotions, and service availability may change from time to time. Changes will not ordinarily alter the terms or price of an already-completed purchase unless IDTS and the client mutually agree to modify the service.
When a third-party payment or financing provider is used, the client's financing arrangement is also subject to that provider's terms. Questions regarding financing eligibility, installment schedules, interest, fees, missed payments, or management of a financing account should be directed to the applicable provider.
Any refund due under these Terms will be handled through the applicable payment system and subject to its processing requirements.
A client may cancel a project for a full refund before IDTS has begun work on the purchased service.
Once work has begun, payments are non-refundable except where otherwise required by law or expressly provided in these Terms. Reasonable concerns regarding completed work should ordinarily be addressed through the revision process included with the purchased service.
If IDTS cancels a project before work begins, the client will receive a full refund.
If IDTS must discontinue a project after work has begun for reasons attributable to IDTS, an appropriate refund may be provided based on the circumstances and work or deliverables already completed, up to and including a full refund where appropriate.
If IDTS terminates a project because of client misconduct, fraud, material misrepresentation, prohibited requests, or repeated failure to comply with reasonable project requirements, the project may be closed without refund, consistent with the work already performed, applicable law, and the circumstances of the termination.
Purchasing a service does not, by itself, begin the stated turnaround period.
The project timeline begins after IDTS has received the completed intake questionnaire and all information, files, and materials reasonably necessary to perform the purchased service.
If additional information is reasonably necessary after work begins, IDTS may request it from the client. The project timeline will pause while IDTS is waiting for required client information and will resume when the requested information is received.
Incomplete materials, delayed responses, or client-requested changes in project direction may extend the original delivery timeline.
If required intake information or materials have not been provided within 30 calendar days of purchase, the project may be designated inactive.
The client may contact IDTS to reactivate the project for up to 90 calendar days from the original purchase date, subject to IDTS's then-current availability.
If the required materials have not been provided within 90 calendar days of purchase, the project may be considered abandoned and closed without refund.
If work has already begun and IDTS is waiting for additional information necessary to continue, the 90-day abandonment period will run from IDTS's most recent request for the required information.
Unless a service listing states otherwise, turnaround estimates refer to the initial completed draft or initial delivery—not completion of subsequent revisions.
For The Resume Refresh, initial delivery is generally expected within 3–5 business days after IDTS receives the completed intake questionnaire and all necessary information and materials.
For The Next Chapter, initial delivery is generally expected within 5–7 business days after IDTS receives the completed intake questionnaire, all necessary information and materials, and the included career consultation has been completed.
For purposes of stated turnaround times, business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
IDTS may communicate an adjusted expected delivery timeline before beginning a project because of planned time away, unusually high order volume, capacity limitations, or other circumstances affecting normal turnaround.
If an unexpected circumstance materially affects a timeline after work begins, IDTS will make reasonable efforts to communicate the delay and provide an updated estimated delivery date.
The number and scope of included revisions are determined by the purchased service.
For The Resume Refresh, one consolidated round of reasonable revisions is included.
For The Next Chapter, one consolidated round of reasonable revisions is included for the written career materials provided as part of the service, including the resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn content and recommendations.
For either service, the client must submit the complete revision request within 7 calendar days of initial delivery.
A revision round may contain multiple requested adjustments when those requests are submitted together. Included revisions are intended to refine the materials based on the information, goals, and career direction originally provided.
Substantial new information, a material change in career or project direction, an entirely new approach, additional revision rounds, or work otherwise outside the original scope may require an additional fee. IDTS will communicate any additional charge before performing that work.
Included revisions are generally completed within 2–3 business days after IDTS receives the client's complete revision request.
If no revision request is received within the applicable 7-day period, the included revision expires and the project is considered complete.
A correction of a verified error introduced by IDTS does not count as the client's included revision round.
Clients are responsible for providing truthful, complete, and accurate information.
IDTS may reorganize, clarify, strengthen, summarize, and professionally present information supplied by the client but cannot independently verify every fact provided.
IDTS will not knowingly fabricate employment history, education, licenses, certifications, credentials, accomplishments, qualifications, or other material information.
IDTS will exercise reasonable care when preparing client materials. Before submitting, publishing, printing, distributing, or otherwise using a completed document, the client is responsible for performing a final factual review, including verifying names, contact information, employment dates, job titles, education, credentials, accomplishments, statistics, and other factual details.
IDTS agrees to provide the purchased service according to its stated scope and with reasonable professional care. However, IDTS does not guarantee any particular outcome resulting from the client's use of completed materials.
This includes, without limitation, guarantees of interviews, job offers, employment, promotions, salary increases, admissions, awards, recognition, recruiter responses, search placement, or acceptance by any employer, institution, organization, or third-party platform.
IDTS may use résumé-writing practices intended to support compatibility with applicant tracking systems (“ATS”), including clear organization, appropriate formatting, and relevant language where appropriate. However, IDTS does not guarantee that a document will pass, receive a particular score from, or produce a particular result in any ATS or other automated screening system.
Hiring, selection, screening, and other third-party decisions remain outside IDTS's control.
A project is considered complete when the included revision process has concluded and final files have been delivered, or when the applicable revision-request period expires without a revision request.
Clients are responsible for reviewing final materials before use.
A client may report a verified factual or production error introduced by IDTS within 30 calendar days after final delivery. IDTS will make a reasonable correction to a verified IDTS-created error at no additional charge.
After that period, changes or updates may be considered new work and may require an additional service or fee.
IDTS is not responsible for errors, content changes, formatting changes, omissions, or other issues introduced after delivery through modifications made by the client or another third party.
Following successful purchase/payment to IDTS, clients may use, reproduce, submit, print, and modify their completed deliverables for their own personal and professional purposes.
IDTS retains its rights and interests in its pre-existing or reusable materials, including branding, questionnaires, templates, internal systems, processes, instructional materials, workflows, and other business resources.
Purchasing a client deliverable does not transfer ownership of IDTS's underlying business systems or authorize the client to resell or commercially redistribute IDTS materials as templates, products, or services without separate authorization.
IDTS uses client information and materials for purposes reasonably related to providing and administering the purchased service and operating the business.
IDTS does not sell client personal information.
IDTS will use reasonable measures to protect client information and will seek to minimize unnecessary use or disclosure of personally identifiable or sensitive information.
Providing services may require the use of third-party business and technology providers, such as payment processing, email, document storage, forms, productivity software, and other professional tools. Information processed through those services may also be subject to the applicable provider's privacy and data-handling practices.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and IDTS does not guarantee absolute security.
IDTS will not intentionally publish or publicly display identifiable client work, testimonials, before-and-after materials, personal stories, or similar client content for marketing or portfolio purposes without separate permission from the client. Declining such permission will not affect the client's service.
IDTS may use artificial intelligence-assisted tools and other professional software as part of its internal workflow. Such tools may assist with activities including brainstorming, organization, drafting support, language development, editing, research, and refinement.
Final client deliverables are reviewed and refined by IDTS before delivery.
IDTS seeks to minimize unnecessary personally identifiable or sensitive information when using AI-assisted tools. Clients should not provide highly sensitive information that is unnecessary for the requested service, such as Social Security numbers, financial account information, passwords, or account credentials.
Use of AI-assisted or other professional tools does not change the agreed price or scope of the purchased service.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact information and monitoring communications related to their project.
IDTS will make reasonable efforts to respond to project communications within a reasonable timeframe during normal business operations. Clients should use the business communication methods provided by IDTS for project-related matters.
IDTS reserves the right to decline or discontinue work that is outside its scope, expertise, capacity, or ethical standards.
Harassment, threats, discriminatory or abusive conduct, fraud, repeated inappropriate communication, misuse of services, intentional material misrepresentation, requests to knowingly falsify information, or repeated failure to comply with reasonable project requirements may result in refusal or termination of service.
Any refund following termination will be determined in accordance with Section 3 of these Terms and applicable law.
Clients are encouraged to contact IDTS promptly regarding billing or service concerns so IDTS has an opportunity to review and address the issue.
If a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated, IDTS reserves the right to provide relevant transaction and project documentation to the payment processor, financial institution, or other appropriate party. Such documentation may include the order record, acknowledgment of these Terms, intake information, relevant correspondence, drafts, revision records, and evidence of delivery, as reasonably necessary to respond to the dispute.
Clients are responsible for downloading and securely retaining copies of their final deliverables.
IDTS generally retains project files and final deliverables for up to 24 months following project completion for reasonable business continuity and returning-client service. IDTS may delete project materials after that period and does not guarantee permanent storage or future recovery of client files.
Clients may request earlier deletion of project materials. IDTS will reasonably accommodate such requests subject to information IDTS is required or reasonably needs to retain for purposes including accounting, tax, legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, or dispute resolution.
Certain business records may therefore be retained longer than project files when reasonably necessary or legally required.
Information maintained by third-party service providers may be subject to those providers' independent retention practices and systems.
Events outside IDTS's reasonable control—including significant technology or service outages, natural disasters, emergencies, serious illness, or material third-party platform failures—may reasonably extend a project timeline.
When such circumstances materially affect an active project, IDTS will make reasonable efforts to communicate with the client and provide an updated timeline. If completion becomes impracticable or impossible, IDTS will determine an appropriate resolution consistent with these Terms and applicable law.
Clients purchasing services must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.
Services for a minor may be purchased or authorized by a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on the minor's behalf.
A person purchasing a service for another individual represents that they have appropriate authority or permission to provide the materials submitted and arrange the service.
IDTS may update these Terms & Policies as its services and business practices evolve.
Unless otherwise required by law, the version applicable at the time of purchase will generally govern that transaction. Updated terms will ordinarily apply prospectively rather than retroactively altering an existing purchase.
The effective or “Last Updated” date will be displayed with the current version.
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of California, without limiting any consumer rights or protections that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to eliminate rights or remedies provided by applicable law.
Questions regarding a service, these Terms & Policies, privacy, project materials, or a billing concern may be directed to In Due Time Studio through the business contact information provided on its website, storefront, order materials, or client communications.
